Japan is a country known for its exentricity, mixed with great respect of traditions, elders and other people in general. Japanese also often have to deal with a lot of stress at work or in their daily lives in order to meet the standards set by the society they live in. So when they are not working, their hobbies often focus on something that sort of help them imagine the rest of the world... Something that gets them far away from their daily routine. And when they choose cars as hobbies, it can get a little wild...
Today, I once again went to Cars and Coffee in Nagoya and with temperatures getting quite a bit warmer than during the past 4 months, people grow motivation to get their precious rides back on the streets and in Auto Planet Nagoya’s parking lot!
Photodump in 3...2...1....
Beautiful Lotus 11 Westfield replica.
Hummer H2 with a very useful bumper for the wild streets of Japan!! Or not...
60's Chevy Bel air Wagon. The thing was scrapping all over the place, even in the parking lot.
TransAm with the weirdest interior I’ve ever seen...
Nostalgia hits hard for me on this one. My first muscle car... Mine was a bit less flashy though
Superb Mach 1 Mustang with the 351 Cleveland V8... Unfortunately coupled with an automatic.
Hum... is that a Yaris??
Rhaaaagnrmphhhhhhhhhhhhh stripped interior........ RHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!
Very...special Supra.
Massive money pit on wheels, with my rolling fuel leak next to it.
Heu... No idea.
Heavily stickered Copen with all the bolt on engine mods you can think of.
An Autozam AZ-1 next to a Suzuki Cara.
The steering wheel of the yellow AZ-1 is actually smaller than a G27. Insane really... And yes, I’m the one sitting in it and all 6'2 of me fit in the car without any problem.
Datsun Sunny
C130 Laurel with the 2.8L engine
Kawaiiiiiiii!!!
Felt like home!
Barely fit in a regular japanese parking spot
Datsun Sunny Exellent GX.
No need to tell you what that is...
Very much drool worthy also
Something I’d like in my driveway... Elise and Supercharged Exige
300ZX and GTO
Hachiroku!!
I don’t think it was a real GTR. I don’t want it to be real one... I... or gosh... So beautiful!
Probably the cleanest AE86 I’ve ever seen in my life...
WTF???
The one guy who actually CANNOT not park like an asshole...
“I wish I were britsh...”
Fun french FF FTW!!
Needs love, lots of love, but almost daily driven actually...
‘Murica!!!
Fuck Yeah!!!
The event was sponsored by Indian motorcycles. Brand new 48!
Not an Indian... Fun fact: Japanese laws require riders of two-wheeled vehicules to wear a helmet at all time. This one has three, therefore a helmets is not required.
Beautiful and well kept Spider
Souped up Starlet
Of course there was an R35 GT-R!!! You almost thought there wasn’t any huh?? Gotcha!!
And that’s it for this time folks! Not sure how these american cars fans are called here... “Burgerers” maybe?
Next C&C Nagoya, on April 3rd, 8am, on the parking lot of Auto Planet Nagoya! Bring what you got!

The fender decal on that 500 is beautiful. If you ever got a chance I would love to know the inspiration for it.
I really like it, its just a work of art to me.

The owner did it himself. It represents his son playing with a Fiat 500 toy car along with his cat :)

I absolutely love Japanese-van culture. That GMC safari is awesome. If I ever give in to the minivan-life, I will mod it into something crazy based off of what I have seen the Japanese do.

I wouldn’t give this C&C for any californian LaFerrari/Porsche 918/Zonda/Veyron concerto ever...

Dang! That’s an incredible turnout!
So much variety. Though, there were some other interesting cars to find in the background of some of those images.
Like in the very first image of that Lotus replica, the yellow car. I’m certain that was a Lancia Delta, but I could be wrong.
Then, the DS3 in the first Vitz image.
The first Porsche image...RR Evoque, Panda, and V40, and the Mighty Boy in the image after that.
I also spotted an S660, VehiCross, Abarth(?) Punto, Fairlady Z Nismo, yet another V40, XK8 convertible, Z4 coupe, 6 Series, and I couldn’t stop looking at that blue Aqua that kept popping up occasionally.

Yeah looks like a USDM Laser, which is a rebadged Mitsubishi eclipse/eagle talon. They sold a lot of those in the US.

What an interesting assortment! And I don’t mean “interesting” in a tongue-biting stealth-insult manner, either. Lots of character all over the place. The only thing that really makes me cringe is the ride height on that Bel Air; it’s damn-near undriveable.

Great post! Love the variety in these kinds of meets, and I still find it weird how some cars are just more exciting to see when they’re in Japan lol.

Yeah but you would have to take the first train at 6.51am from the airport on Sunday, transfert once, then walk 25 minutes from the station to the dealership. Or rent a car and it’s still a 45 minute drive.
You would arrive there around 8.30am at best if you take the train. I can drive you back to the station after though.
